鉄板 匠 まんまるの月 錦店

This restaurant is a little bit hidden in a narrow alley, but is is not so far from Shijo and Karasuma station. The interior has a very pleasant and cozy interior. I had the impression that the restaurant was ran by one family. I had a seat at the bar table so I could watch the cook's cooking art. I...t's great to watch the cook making okonomiyaki, its amazing how many handlings are required and ingredients are going into okonomiyaki. The end result was delicious. Highly recommended!

Had dinner here with my wife. Excellent food and cosy atmosphere in the back rooms. Staff is very nice and helpful and they have a menu in English with explanations of contents and pictures. Scallops and beef were excellent. And closing tee is very good too.

I visited this restaurant with my wife and daughter, who is a vegetarian and as such has not always found locating suitable venues in Kyoto easy. The restaurant is cleverly set out with a raised floor around the tables, giving the impression of a traditional Japanese seating arrangement whilst using... ordinary chairs, essential for persons such as myself who are totally devoid of any suppleness! The typically Japanese menu was gratifyingly comprehensive, which clearly pleased my vegetarian daughter. The food was presented to a high standard and amazingly quickly by polite and efficient staff, who conducted themselves in a bright, courteous and helpful fashion despite my knowledge of the menu and the Japanese language being near zero. Prices were most reasonable. An impressive experience which we decided we might like to repeat.

Great food - teppan yaki / beef, chicken, sea food, and especially vegetables ! Wagyu beef was so tender that almost melt it away in the mouth .
