We were craving for Sukiyaki during our stay in Nagoya and friends recommended this place. It is in Sakae station which is 2 stops away from Nagoya station where we're staying. Quite easy to look if you know how to speak or read Japanese but since we rely on either Google maps or Apple maps it is qu...ite hard since their maps don't work as accurate as when you're in the US. There was also a Pokemon gym around the corner which we though was the long line for the place. The ground floor is where they sell their beef and on the 2nd floor is the main place itself. Our server who was kind enough to translate the Japanese menu to us in English was really really helpful. She was also the one who recommended us to get the sizzling beef and wow it was really good!!! Their sukiyaki is one of the best I've ever tried! Kudos again to the younger lady who helped us choose and being patient in explaining the menu. Good job!

Picked this sukiyaki restaurant from Tabelog. Asked the hotel concierge to help make the booking, got reassured form the staff that this is a famous restaurant. The ground floor is a meat butcher selling meats, while upstairs is the restaurant dividing into different rooms. Our room has a nice view... of the street. We ordered a regular kuro wagyu (black hair Japanese cattle) and a premium kuro wagyu set sukiyaki. There is a lady waitress cooking all the food on the shallow pan on table, one piece of meat at a time, so that you have your time to enjoy the good food. Sukiyaki and shabu shabu is the traditional Japanese way of eating beef. The premium wagyu has a even better distribution of meat and fat on the beef slice. Beef and vegetable are served alternately rather than finishing all the beef together. The vegetable are outstanding as well. Service is a of course top notch. Highly recommended if you love beef. Budget for each person for dinner is about Yen 10,000.

Perfect Service, Perfect traditionnal japanese atmosphere, Probably the best beef meat you could have in Nagoya. Pricey, but worth it.
