伊豆高原ビールうまいもん処

We were looking for a place for a late lunch after 2 pm and realised that many restaurants were closing soon before reopening for dinner. Found this restaurant to be open and headed down, only to realise that this was the restaurant just beside the onsen we visited the previous night. The restaura...nt was a great find and had a wide menu spread. Everyone in our family ordered something different. The sashimi on rice with Uni I ordered was fantastic, the portion was generous and it was delicious. The kids set for my son, 9, ordered came with a toy, the restaurant staff came with a basket of toys for him to choose from. Staff were friendly, patient with non-Japanese speakers and service was top-notched. Best of all, you can pay by credit card which was really important for me as I didn't want to run out of cash before the trip ended.

I came for the food but stayed for the beer. Try the beer tasting to enjoy some locally brewed deliciousness. Worth coming to particularly if you are visiting the onsen next door.

We ate here as a family of five. The meal was good, fish was fresh and plenty of food. But for Japan I thought prices were a little high. I also don't love having to take off shoes--I know that's traditional of ryokans and onsens but not large restaurants. I would try somewhere new next time just... to do so, but I wouldn't be opposed if someone wanted to go here again.
