“Most Amazing Steak!”
If you are from the states and think you love steak, you will be blown away. We’ve had steak around the world and can say, Kitchen Hida Beef wins, hands down! We had the sirloin, Tenderloin and the Chateau and each were the most tender and perfectly cooked. Service was amazing as well. This beef... is pricey but it has to be, based on what goes into raising them. Don’t miss out on a chance to try this steak found only in this region. You will be glad you spent the $$. They will bring your cut of steak to the table to show you, before it’s prepared.

“Absolutely outstanding”
We visited as part of our trip around Japan and were lucky enough to be here at the same time as the Festival. We’d seen the reviews about the prices but also the excellent experience and the quality of the food. Without doubt this was an experience beyond compare. The steak was the best that eith...er my Wife or I had ever eaten. It was “melt in the mouth” and simply incredible. The quality was something on a different level to anything we’ve experienced before. The restaurant experience was also wonderful. The tables are spaced thoughtfully - you felt very distanced from the other diners. The service was excellent and very attentive. I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you have the opportunity please visit.

“Hida beef Sirloin steak. Delicious.”
Three mains; HIda Beef Sirloin steak, prime rib and chicken confit. The sirloin steak was memorable, would go back here just for the steak (ordered it medium well). Prime rib served rare, which is I suppose what steak/beef connoisseurs usually prefer; however wasn't to our taste. Next time will... order a bigger Sirloin steak. The chicken was good. Dish accompaniment rather bare. Hida Beef is the attraction.

Great experience in this steak house. Hida beef is very good and very well prepared. Friendly service in a nice ambiance. Strongly recommended.

“An awesome experience in Takayama ; dont miss.”
We were recommended the place by a sake shop owner. It is a large place, tables well spaced, staff very polite and helpful. The menu is designed to the palate and different sizes of stomach ! You get the beef in four different cutes, eg sirloin or ribeye etc. Also in different sizes eg 100, 150, 2...00 etc gms and in two qualities A4 and A5. We were told to tryout the sirloin. The meat was awesome, like butter melting in the mouth. The place is expensive but worth every penny. Dont miss.
