The friends I was staying with brought me to this izakaya (Japanese pub/restaurant) and the 3 of us had a great time with a good variety of very good food. It is quite new and does not look particularly traditional on the outside. Although the drinks were fairly standard,with no obvious local beer...s for example, there was a good range. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed it so much that when 3 other friends arrived from Malaysia a few days later I persuaded them to join us there for dinner. Between us we had beer, sake, plum wine, and shochu (or shojou) to go with the many food dishes. Tables are separated from others by high panels so they look a bit like booths and there is privacy if required, but some can be removed to allow for a larger number of diners. We were sat where we could see the food preparation area so we were able to soak up the excellent atmosphere. If I lived here I would certainly be a regular visitor. Incidentally, the name is spelt Bincho Kittcho-ya on the outside of the building.
