“Best soba in town!”
Such a cosy great place to have a meal. We arrived earlier than 6pm when they open for dinner and the chef was kind enough to let us sit inside while waiting cos it was too cold out. God bless him. Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Cold and hot soba was superb. They serve some dishes with fresh wasabi wh...ich you’ll need to grate yourself. The food was so good I didn’t even bother taking any pics. Well I got carried away! So so good. Highly recommended if you’re ever in Takayama. One of the best restaurants we have been.

“Very good soba and excellent service ”
Arrived 30 min before closing for lunch under relatively heavy rain. Spare us cloth to help us dry up. Had the Soba set and one of the better soba I ever had. Paied with excellent service, this is a must visit lacebif you are in Takayama!

“Great service and meal”
This is a wonderful restaurant in Takayama with a great service from its staff. We had a grea lunch and enjoyed it so much thT we asked where could we buy some of the ingredients. One of the staff wrote a note for us to get some of the products from their local supplier. Wonderful experience.

“Exceeded expectations”
My partner and I had a wonderful evening last night. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. I had the duck meat with cold soba noodles (handmade!) and my husband had the shrimp tempura with warm soba. Both came with a delicious broth and various sides (including wasabi root and a grat...er for you to make your own wasabi paste!). It was all very reasonably priced too. We ended up meeting another couple about to start their Japan travels and the kind owners stayed open way beyond the closing time to accommodate our conversation - which we hadn't realised at the time! Would implore everyone to come here if you're visiting Takayama. Note - make sure you reserve a table beforehand (I messaged via Facebook and had a response within a minute confirming my booking!)

“A great evening!”
We enjoyed the delicious food and found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The meal itself had a lovely authentic feel as you grated you own wasabi along with a few other special things! We also we're lucky enough to sit next to a couple who were just starting their Japan trip! We h...ad fun chatting with them about our experiences so far! Miyabian should be on your list of places to visit!
