“Heartwarming meals handmade by lovely proprietors”
We came by here to have an early lunch after visiting Matsushiro Underground Imperial Headquarter. It is a homely restaurant with value-for-money delicious homemade lunch sets. There's something very heartwarming about the meal, indeed! Food There are 3 mains to choose from, and 3 types of set lunc...h - one with 5 sides, one with 7 sides, and one with 9 sides. Pricing is reasonable though i would say serving size is on the smaller side compared to some other restaurants. We bought the 5 sides as we weren't too hungry, but I highly suggest going for the 7/9 sides meals if you go in with an empty stomach. I'm sure there are more customisation mentioned on google reviews, and other sets available but it would have been difficult to communicate all that in detail. The desserts also looked amazing although we personally didn't have to opportunity to try them due to time. If the restaurant is crowded, do take note it will take some time for them to serve the food. Ambience/restaurant setting The cosy restaurant had bar seats, and also a few table seats for 4s and 2s. Between each table is a bamboo divider to keep your privacy. Menu While there is no english menu, the proprietors can speak some degree of english. They are also very lovely, friendly and helpful in explaining the options. Location The address is 1496-22 Matsushiromachi Matsushiro, Nagano, 381-1231, Japan.
