“Very good sukiyaki and shabu-shabu courses at premium prices”
Very good sukiyaki and Shabu-Shabu restaurant with great ambience. The quality of ingredients is top botched and the courses are very substantial with nice starters. The restaurant also offers a comprehensive a la Carte menu. You do not need to order a full course for all diners, mixing and matching... courses with a la Carte will allow you to try more.

“Great sukiyaki!”
The service was superb and the sukiyaki was excellent! The meat was great and servings were generous.

“去浸温泉前食返个“沙不沙不”先”
去浸温泉前食返个“沙不沙不”,都唔算平,一个靓牛肉套餐要1万3千几Yen,得个5块,好在拣支sake好好饮,大人细路加埋10个人,埋单要9万3千Yen,唔系讲笑! Food: Good Service: Good Value for money: No Sake: very good

“Total ripoff at a 5 star resort”
Our family and some friends were staying at Karuizawa Prince for our ski holidays. We were craving for hotpot and our intention was to go to Shabu Shabu Atago but for some strange reason , we ended up at the hotel restaurant instead. We were presented with the English menu which was rather confusin...g and upon clarifying with the staff , we were still confused about how to go about ordering. Since everyone was starving after a day at the ski , we proceed to order our food. Even as a hotel guest where we could enjoy a special set menu , each serving of beef (150g) is about 10000yen , while a combo mix of pork/beef is 8000yen. We ordered three sets for 4 adults and 2 child and the portion is really small (probably 8-9 thin slices of meat per set). We added another 2 serving of beef costing 8500yen each and it comes with 5 slices per serving. In the end , we paid a total of US$400 for the meal , and left still feeling hungry. The food quality is not worth the money we paid. Service level was surprisingly slow as they have insufficient staff to meet the demand of the customers (restaurant was quite full) and what is most disappointing is that none of the staff could actually understand nor speak sufficient English to communicate with the guests. Being a 5 stars resort where they are charging a premium price for everything , this is totally unacceptable. For the many trip reviews I have submitted for my travel to Japan , this is the worst experience for me so far.
