“great for families, students--the whole town seemed to dine here”
Before taking off for a visit to the Japan alps, our host brought us here for a quick, inexpensive and tasty lunch. The sanuki style udon noodles are made fresh on site. It is cafeteria style where you give your order to the staff, choose your own toppings, and side dishes such as tempura or rice ba...lls (onigiri). We arrived at about 11:30A, but there was a huge line by the time we left an hour later. It was the middle of the week, but wildly popular. Lots of families with young children (read picky messy eaters) and people just out for a casual lunch. I wish they'd open up locations on the mainland US. I understand there is a location somewhere in Hawaii. Itadakimaaaasu!
