“Absolutely Delicious Casual Dining in Takaoka”
Great food, great beer, great service and great music in Takaoka! My wife and I visited Takaoka for the Mikurumayama Festival and were looking for a night casual beef restaurant, and just bumped into Hop Tap Shop: our gut feeling was assertive. Had amazing grilled asparagus and garlic shrimp as ap...petizers, and the recommended the 3 beef assortment (medium rare) and homemade fries to share was absolutely delicious. The artisan Beer local options were very, very good. Yes, it’s a beer bar, yes it’s a young adult hang out casual place but the Chefs and their cooking are top notch! Fully recommend it for a night casual dinner. Btw, Takaoka is a very nice town with very nice people, we felt like home, and the Mikurumayama Festival was the highlight of our Japan trip!
