Location is bear our beautiful hotel. Few minutes walk. Atmosphere is Japanese old wood design and boasting of a 140 yr old reconditioned structure. Food are amazingly perfected and personally delivered from the chef himself. Greatest Yakitoris (ordered 1 of each😂). Order the "heaven sent" soup w...ith Yakitoris, you are likely felt heaven in earth. In Kanazawa. 6 months old but the structure says otherwise. Perfect combination. The servers are all cheerful that makes dinner warmer and tastier. Me and my wife celebrated my 53rd birthday and our eldest Teri booked us here. More than perfect. No term anymore. Arrived on time and lines are getting longer. With these all in one. I never asks price anymore. Now, why can't we smile? Too full and overwhelmed. Happy to tell the world this experience. I hope I am now.

We came across this place to find a qr code to order in English. The staff were very pleasant and the food was great. Good value also. We had a traditional Japanese dining experience, would recommend.

Not enough good things to say about Higashiyama Torihada. My partner and I stumbled across this gem while visiting the Higashichaya on our first night in Kanazawa. While from a distance it looked good and smelled delicious, as foreigners, we felt intimidated by the packed atmosphere and predominan...tly local crowd, so we did not stop by. On our second night, we happened to stroll past early in the evening, and worked up the courage to stop by — and we are grateful that we did. The staff was incredibly accommodating, and made us feel both welcomed and appreciated. We began our meal with the chef's selection yakitori, followed up with multiple rounds of our favorite skewers, as well as the noto beef, and were impressed by the quality, care, and attention paid to every subsequent order. The staff spoke English well enough to understand and be understood, and the efforts alone made the feeling of being an "outsider" melt away. Even while exiting after paying, the staff's show of hospitality was above and beyond, and we were gifted a handmade washi business card as a token of their appreciation. All in all, the food, drinks and service were exceptional, and made our first trip to Japan feel just a little more special. If you're a traveler, do yourself a favor — don't be afraid to stop by, and order multiple rounds. Eat, drink, repeat. You won't be disappointed!
