“very good food, easy interaction with staff”
This restaurant close to the main railway station offers very good traditional Japanese food. It is reaosnably priced (not cheap though). The staff does not speak English very well, but were able to communicate and show me how to use the English menu and how to order on a tablet computer. Service wa...s fast and professional.

“Hit The Spot”
We were looking for a quick, easy & tasty meal and this was the perfect place. Everything is ordered on an iPad and the service is lightning quick! Tasty food with an excellent variety. Highly recommended.

“Nice restaurant nearby JR Takamatsu station”
Many local dishes choices with reasonable price. They have English menu and people can make order via iPad. Very convenience for foreign visitors!

“Mixed message”
This place is close to the train station, and so convenient to the hotels there. It's seafood-oriented izakaya (e.g., an informal tavern). You order via an iPad, which has notional English translations. This ensures that you have zero interaction with anyone preparing or serving the food. Thus y...ou miss out on the real joy of eating in Japan, even if you don't share a language with the chef. Most of the food we ordered was decent, if not exceptional. However, the whole roast (golden?) sea bream was truly great, perfectly cooked and just delicious. Oddly enough, we had ordered it by fat-fingering the tablet, and so were a bit surprised when it showed up, but not unhappy! I'd also recommend the cucumber with moromi miso.

“This is a find!”
Went to Warajiro on the strength of Tripadvisor. Couldn't get in the first night so we reserved for the second. Great location--just 2 blocks from the station. Warajiro is basically an izakaya, serving a variety of small plates. It has a tablet ordering system; once you find the English button it ...is easy to use. The food was great and the service was very fast. We shared a small sashimi platter, a "caesar" salad (it was good, but the resemblance to Caesar was slight), a broiled chicken leg quarter, some udon, some wasabi octopus and a small sake for Y4,500, which we thought was a bargain. Try it; you'll like it.
