“Fading elegance”

"Shika" means "deer" and the restaurant has two deer in a small cage near the door. When we went, the smell was extremely potent and the deer lethargic, so not very exciting. Inside, the restaurant has delicious but rather expensive pastries and drinks served on fine china. It has the fading air of ...a place where elegant ladies would gather for tea, but is not the best choice for a family with an active toddler.
