“As authentic as it comes”
Our first visit to this robotaya/izakaya. One of the oldest and biggest robotayas in Sendai. Not cheap, but then these sort of places are normally rather pricey. The food in these down to earth places is inevitably of a high standard, the atmosphere buzzy. We managed to get two seats at the counter,... but you might need to book or wait a lot of the time. Friendly owner working on the hearth, and his daughter among the staff. A wide range of dishes - the speciaIities being the local fish and meat slowly barbecued over charcoal. Lots of sake and shochu also of course.

“Traditional and nice dining”
This dining bar (Izaka-ya in Japanese) is in traditional style, you can have Tohoku local food including fresh fish and sake here. Appetizer served as default is more than art! Fish is good and extremely fresh. Good for entertain guests. It’s wise to reserve in advance, since the dining bar is like...ly to full not only weekend or party season, clearly loved by local.
