In my (admittedly limited) experience, this is Sendai's premier sake bar. Be prepared to book ahead - even if you're travelling solo - because this place is popular 😄 Staff were extremely helpful and friendly (私の日本語はまだ上手でなくても、、、) Received a great tip about a top tier UK sake brewery (yes, they exist...!): Dojima Sake Brewery in Ely near my alma mater, Cambridge. Unfortunately, single bottles of their sake seem to retail for 1000 GBP, so I'm going to continue to enjoy the excellent selection in Hatago once I can travel again... (Visit was actually in December 2019, but I'm sure it remains equally excellent...)

Tsukasa-san helped me get a bottle of Dassai 23 to M. Iwaizumi for a very important occasion, as a favor. I will always be appreciative of that. Beyond being a great restaurateur, he is really a fantastic person who puts everything into his craft with fantastic results! I can't wait to come to Hat...ago with Kumiko, many times!! Thank you!!

I went to Hatago to celebrate my graduation with family and friends. The sake selection is wide. Food is amazing and the service is the best. They have a menu in English. It also has an amazing view. I really liked it and went 2 more times.

Came here for my wife’s birthday. I had to find a place that served food late. We also love sake! The bar is non-smoking. I believe they have smoking section in a different room. They have an English menu, but the sake changes so it may be different than the English menu. We ordered the ...sushi, cheese, prosciutto, salad and appetizers. Plates are small so you can get a lot! Every plate was fantastic! We asked for recommendations on sake which was perfect every time. Definitely want to visit again.

去年12月到仙台東北旅行, 在這兒喝到了日本各地美味的清酒，酒餚也很好吃。讓我們在仙台留下了美好而難忘的回憶。We enjoyed various wonderful sake here in Sendai. The foods are also delicious. This bring us a beautiful and unforgettable memory.
