“Nice to try the tongue, but I doubt I'd return”
Who knew there were so many preparations for beef tongue? This is a small little resto within a mall near the Sendai station. Mostly the seating is around the bar/grill. It's a very casual and very local place. I tried the smoked tongue sausage to start, and it was delicious. It had nice spice ...and maybe even some cheese in it, and was served with a nice grain mustard. The main course of sliced, grilled tongue was just overall average. It was a bit gamey and tough, nowhere near as flavourful as the sausage. I was not a big fan of beef tongue before coming here, and am not really one after now either. But I am glad I visited and tried some of the local specialty.
