SUZU CAFE ‐hiroshima‐

We were looking for some breakfast and found this place. Had the French toast with Matcha which was delicious! My husband had the pasta set which was good too!

We wanted pizza and this they have. 😊 Good pizza but the garlic bread is ordinary toasted long bread dipped in some butter. The stove dish was good but almost no vegs by the side so remember to order side dishes. I would give 5 points for the decoration and service. 3 for the food, but unfortunat...ly it was allowed to smoke everwhere even outside the smoking area!!! So we asked to move tables and left as the smoking increased later in the evening.

I had a pizza which was OK. The wife had a beef stew which was more fat than beef. Both were small servings with zero English. Menus weren't very informative so you didn't really know what you were getting

We stayed two nights at the Sheraton Hotel (near Hiroshima station) and for the second night ate out at Suzu. We very much enjoyed the experience. They offer a wide range of relatively inexpensive food and drink in a pleasant informal atmosphere. If you are staying at the Sheraton its only a few min...utes walk away and if you come out of the hotel on level 2 (side entrance) you can get there totally under cover.

We went in as we were looking for some Italian food for dinner. The restaurant area is very nice, modern industrial looking with warm couches and tables. The serving staff were attentive and friendly but they did make a few small errors which they quickly made up for when asked. When we ordered a... 1/2 bottle of prosecco, the type we had ordered had run out so they offered a full bottle of similar sparkling wine for the same price. We also had a few cocktails after dinner, they had a good selection and are good value (not very expensive). Overall it was a good place to go for Italian food in a nice atmosphere and also great because they are open late (after midnight).
