“Warm and accommodating chef!”
The chefs were very nice and prepared the meals well. I availed of the tasting menu set. It was very delicious and unique, especially the sashimi of seafood in season. I love the wagyu beef. I miss it already.

“Amazing Restaurant”
Found with Michelin guide. Courses were great. Incredibly intimate experience. Chef loves to watch you eat and is extremely interested if you like the food (which you will). Was extremely nervous because my Japanese is terrible. The Chef made us comfortable and even spoke about visiting our home t...own (San Francisco). Overall, one of the most pleasent dining experiences in my life.

“I always eat here when I'm in Japan...and I have about 10 times now”
My mother moved to a place about 5~10 min walking distance from this restaurant about 10 years ago and we've been coming here ever since. I personally never been thought "wow" from eating Chinese food, but this place did! Their sautéed lettuce and the an-nin-tofu are absolutely delicious. I have ...to have them every time I go. In fact, the last time I was in Japan, the night before I was leaving, I had to have an-nin-tofu again, I rush to the place and was lucky to find open seat. I ordered two an-nin-tofu and left very happy, as always!

“Did not live up to expectations, or average standards.”
Based on the previous Trip Advisor review and its recent 1-Star Michelin rating, we were very excited to try Kazura. We love Japanese food and have had GREAT luck in Hiroshima with quality and service. Given this place earned a Michelin Star and our previously great experience following that Guide, ...we had very high expectations. Our expectations were not met on many levels, I am sorry to report. Start with the good..... - Met us at the door by name (we do stand out a bit in Japan) - The wine pairings were great and the highlight of the evening - Good English from the sommelier, who was a big help through the night Disappointments - The tastes were nothing special and in almost all cases sub-standard to typical Japanese fare we find in neighborhood gems - The service seemed out of sync, with dishes coming on top of each other at times, and big gaps in other times.... also, the plates stacked up without clearing service Would not try again or recommend, given all the great food in town.

“Highlight of our trip to Japan”
We spent two weeks in Japan visiting plenty of Michelin starred restaurants. Including 5 ones with 3 stars. This restaurant provided meal comparable to any of 3-star places. There is no ranking in Hiroshima, but this place is a real gem. The place was recommended by our Japanese friends who live for... good food. We hand excellent comparable kaiseki meal for a half of the price of 3-star Michelin ranked place. All the dishes were made of local ingredients. Especially memorable - sawada tataki and sajiko (marinated salmon roe). The sommelier is English speaking and spent some time in USA. He made our communication very easy. The chef does not speak English but was sincerely excited to see us ( gaijins are rarity in ther place). He was watching our reactions to every little morel of amazing food he made for us. He was interested to know what we think about the taste. If you like good food and visiting Hiroshima - do not miss!
