The atmosphere was lively and inviting, making it a great spot for a night out. The food was flavorful, though some dishes could use a bit more seasoning. Service was attentive, but we had to wait a bit longer for our drinks. Overall, a solid experience!

I haven't had Okonomiyaki except here during our recent vacation, so I can't 100% say it is better than all of the other places around, but I can't certainly say you will not be disappoiinted if this is where you go for your experience. Definitely popular tourists - but I think that is partially bec...ause Lopez himself is an immigrant to Japan and speaks English and Spanish fluently as well - just making the experience more approachable for people. DH and I each ordered one with jalapeno on top, and I was sure I would never possibly finish it, but I just keep eating and eating and suddently it was gone! Pairs great with beer. If there is a line outside it definitely moves quickly as this isn't a place you really linger and the food is served very quickly. Just write your name and quantity of people on the paper outside and hand it in to the chef behind the counter. They will signal you in when it is your turn.

This was on my dinner wishlist since starting my Japan trip, I'm not even sure how I stumbled into it but I'm so happy I did. The menu is straightforward and the food is amazing, but even better is the couple who runs it. They are both so nice since you come in and the chef will talk while he cooks ...in front of you. I got lucky and there was no line a Monday for dinner but even if there was it would be super worth the wait. Would definitely return and will recommend to anyone visiting the city.

What a brilliant restaurant with the most delicious okonomiyaki and super friendly owners, who were more than happy to answer all our questions whilst cooking. Other reviews led us here and I’d happily add to the recommendations

What a wonderful dinner! First time eating Okonomiyaki in Hiroshima for our family. We had struggled to come up with a dinner idea that would satisfy all preferences (including pescatarian) and we hit the jackpot with Lopez! The owners were friendly, spoke English when we needed their help and made ...some delicious food right in front of us. We went around 5:30 and by 6:15 there were 6 people (all locals, which is a good sign) waiting outside. It was a 30 minute walk from our hotel but we saw Hiroshima Castle on the way so it was a true Hiroshima experience. Great food, great fun. Would definitely recommend.
