“Great little local restaurant in the backstreets of Miyajima”
The owner of the cafe/restaurant helped us out with directions originally and so we returned for dinner. What a great experience in casual dining we sat with the owner Yusuke and had a an awesome dining experience

“Great local specialties”
Delicious lunch during our day trip to Mijajima island. Down a little side street away from the main restaurant area but definitely worth the extra little walk to get there!

“Oyster Okonomiyaki on Miyajima”
We had decided to eat "Okonomiyaki" because Miyajima had sort of japanese formal cuisine everywhere and I don't really rice so I didn't want to feel obligated to eat the rice on my plate. So...We scoured the island and found this place completely way out of the way from all the other shops and stuff... on Miyajima Island. It was past the temples and all the people so it was a really good idea. We a black sign with pictures and decided to walk down the path. It was definitely off the beaten path. It was a bit busy so we had to wait till seats opened up. Once we did however, we were lucky cause we got to eat at the teppan where they make them so that experience was pretty cool. We all ordered different stuff but I decided to order the one with oysters on it. It was pretty good! I will say that it was a bit expensive but it seems that everything on the island is expensive I guess so we didn't think it was so bad. But be expected to spend ¥2500 "roughly" if you want oysters on your okonomiyaki. It was a cool spot.

“Chill out trip with wife”
We had okonomiyaki lunch at Hiroshima City and it was natural for us to want to try and compare this dish at Miyajima Island. Located along the 'food stree', this property sits at most 25 paxs and is like a fast food kitchen serving okonomiyaki. The chefs was behind the counter at their cooking st...ation. Service was fast and efficient. The pricing is reasonable. And I think it tastes better than the one we had in Hiroshima City. I find the sauce more flavorful and not as thick set. It goes well with a Miyajima beer. On the Ropeway ride we met Matthew Howe from Bermuda and strike out a good conversation. We invited Matthew to lunch with us and to chat more. Hello Matthew, you are still somewhere in Japan. Enjoy and all the best.
