Food was delicious but they forgot our soup. We decided not to have it as it was very late. We pointed out on the bill that they forgot the soup. They crossed it off and added a 400 yen table surcharge! Ripped off and they didn’t care

My cousin and I walked in this evening, Thursday night, and were met with very unfriendly stares. The place was empty. Before we could ask for a table both workers behind the counter were waving their arms saying “All tables are sold. No tables available”. As we were leaving, a gentleman came in an...d was seated. We shrugged, and thought, 1) we just saw some blatant discrimination, or, 2) maybe this guy is the first in his party that booked the entire place. After eating a very nice meal down the street, we decided to walk by the restaurant. There were 4 people eating. Guess we were very obviously discriminated against. As a white person, I would avoid.

We visited Saturday evening. arrived early around 6 pm and had no trouble to get a table. This place takes some 30 seated customers seated at 4x4 tables and at the bar. Hiroshima Toyo Carp had just lost a home game so there were a few supporters drinking after the game. For a Westerner this is an ...interesting place to start the evening, but the food is more tapas-like. No meat except chicken, but plenty of interesting vegetables - all grilled on charcoal. The onion in particular was delicious. Expect to need something more substantail after visiting here. I counted to six different beers with Kirin the only one served on tap. Nice price level can be expected. Smoking is allowed, but only one customer seated at the bar smoked while we were there.
