“Ordinary Chinese food”
My friend and I went to this restaurant because it was conveniently close to Meguro station, which was where we were. The lunch menu had no English, but there were photos of all the dishes. Lunch was 990 yen for the main dish, egg drop soup, a modest amount of rice, all you can eat of two types of p...ickles, and a glass of water. No tea. There were no surprises in the food, but it was OK. There was no soy sauce or hot sauce on the table. We asked for spoons for the soup. Answer: “no spoons”. The service was abrupt but not rude. Other reviewers say that this is Szechuan cuisine. What we ate was more Cantonese than Szechuan. Maybe we didn’t order well. To get to the restaurant, you have to walk down a narrow flight of stairs. No elevator. If you’re in the neighborhood of Meguro station, there are many restaurants with better lunches at the same price as the lunch at this place.
