Called in here by chance on a Monday evening, was very happy to have stumbled on the place. Food was excellent, steak, chicken, liver mousse, garlic rice, everything was just so tasty. I imagine you would have to book here to be sure of a table on a Friday or Saturday, try the place, you’d be a to...ugh customer to walk away disappointed.

“tough aged beef”
Tokyo Eye (NHK World Program) made a program on Nakano and recommended this restaurant. I wrote it down and reserved the dinner one month ahead (as recommended). There is a lot of beef hanging inside the fridge in the entrance of the restaurant. Looks promising. The restaurant is famous for it's ...aged beef as a very reasonable price. We ordered the daily recommendation which is Hokkaido beef sourced from a small farm. The beef came at medium rare BUT inside is cold and outside is not hot. Apparently, the beef hasn't been fully de-freezed to room temperature before cooking. The beef is also very tough. What's the point of aging. It's a worst beef I've ever tried in my over 20 years travel experience in Japan. It's purely a trap. To me, it's a tourist trap. Last but not least, they charged me Yen600 for a few pieces of low quality baguette (tough and dry).
