“Best inexpensive yakitori”
If you just stroll pass it, you’re crazy. We’ve been in Japan for 10 days. This is our favorite yakitori and favorite restaurant of all the places we’ve tried (and we did all the “top 10 ramen/yakitori/sushi/AYCE” that we could). Everything is about 120 yen to 380 yen. There’s a few fancier things f...or more but mostly 1-2 USD. Try everything. You’re in Japan! We tried all the different guts, rectum, gizzard, “skines” (not skins!), gristles.. everything! I can say, as a first born asian American, there were things even I haven’t tried and things I know very well that were absolutely the best served here. Everything under pork yakitori (get it with sauce) is great! Gristles is the cartilage voice box of a pork, it is so cartilagey, it is almost plasticy. It was a good experience but not our favorite. The liver, hearts, rectum, sansho guts, quail eggs, chicken skin, cold spicy chicken with cucumber, guts with spring onion, ginkgo nuts (eat them when they’re piping hot) were our favorites. The sour cocktails are delicious. Favorites were sequencer and honey yuzu. And don’t shy away from chu hi drinks! It’s a good contrast to the meat! But seriously it’s 1-3$ for a dish. Just try it.

“Delicious yakitori”
We found this lovely place near our apartment, when we arrived it was full but the waitress was very kind and managed to seat us in a few minutes. What we ordered was delicious, especially the guts stew! It wasn’t expensive and we ate a lot, I definitely would come back!
