Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Food quite good. We had chargrilled meat an sashimi. However, the menu is only available in Japanese. Communication is a bit difficult. Different from what we have seen before in Japan. Well worth a visit. Expect the unexpected.

I found out about the restaurant in a booklet from the travel information office. I had a very warm welcome and was told that their menus were only in Japanese but it was suggested I could use the free WiFi and a translation service to read the menu. Their helpfulness made my decision. There is a g...ood selection of set menus and A la Carte selections. Some of the set menu choices are for a minimum of two diners. I opted for a set menu for one. It came on a tray and was extremely well presented. The different elements matched the level of presentation and it was delicious. When I had finished, I commented that if it wasn’t for the case I don’t eat tuna, there wouldn’t have been anything left. I was surprised when I was brought some salmon on a dish of ice and equally decorated. Service, attention to detail and an amazing meal were well worth the just over ¥4000. There is a lovely ambience in there.

We were the only westerners in this restaurant packed with locals at lunchtime. The set lunch menu at just over 1600 yen was very good value, and not the cheapest option either. A well balanced traditional meal including excellent sashimi and tempura in a pleasant restaurant rounded of a good mornin...g.

Their menu is very traditional and the place was filled with locals. Fish is super fresh and very tasty. Worth a visit

Very good restaurant between Shinkansen station and Himeji Castle. Lunch is affordable (USD 15-25) and dishes are great (taste and presentation). They have a good selection of Sakes. Ask for a recommendation. This restaurant has a good service in English and nice ambiente as well.
