“Meat extravaganza”
Attended last night with our Japanese Aunty and Uncle and had a grand feast of meat. Uncle ordered his choice for us all, cooked the food on the wire in the centre of the table and was a very generous host. We had a private room on the second floor, took off our shoes and sat at a table set into the... floor, on seats with individual backrests. The menu is vast and contains the various types of meat in order of the various cuts, like offal and flank, etc. A delicacy of this restaurant is tongue and I am certain that was our first course of meat. No-one at the table would confirm or deny this. I am not usually an adventurous eater, but I would have to say that the meat supplied was delicious. Unfortunately, I don't have any chewing teeth, so meat has to be tender for me to eat it and it was mostly the case, though some white meat was too chewable for me, so I didn't eat it (might have been stomach). I did have some sirloin steak that I recognized that was particularly tender and tasty. This is the first Korean BBQ restaurant that I have visited and I was pleasantly surprised. Uncle ordered a basket of vegetables that were also cooked by him on the flame, that were also fresh and tasty with the sauces provided. Uncle and Aunty drank beer and cold sake, I drank warm sake and my wife drank Japanese tea. For dessert, we all ate 2 scoops of green tea icecream which was cream and delicious. If you like meat and vegetables cooked by yourself, at you own table, raw or cooked as you like, then this is the restaurant for you. There was a button on our table that summoned the warm and friendly staff and they were very efficient bringing the various foods and drinks. I expect that the meal was quite expensive, but well worth it for a special night. Highly recommended.
