“Classic Sushi House”

5
Reviewed 22/Oct/2019

The Take feels like a classic Japanese sushi house with counter seating and separate rooms as well. The fish was very fresh and I'm sure there were delicious items inaccessible to use English-only patrons. The menu includes a few sets of different prices which you can understand in English and you c...an order special items if you know the Japanese name. They helped us select a pleasant sake to accompany our sushi. The staff allowed us to enter though we were only 10 minutes from closing time (we've been turned away before so close to closing). The staff were welcoming despite our lack of Japanese. It felt very traditional and local.

“Great dining experience!!!!!”

Better have reservations, the couple in front of us were turned away! Our Japanese wasn't the best but the staff was incredibly helpful. We had the Japanese Vince Vaughn of sushi chefs who kept the atmosphere lively. The sushi was like butter, soft, creamy, savory...brings tears to my eyes. I wo...uld definitely go back when I'm in Japan again. After we had our fill the staff called a taxi for us.

“Fresh as fresh can be”

This is an Edo style sushi restaurant. Which means tastes follow Tokyo flavor not Kansai flavor profile. Basically sushi is a more savory than the sweeter Kansai taste. That been said, it is very good. We wanted abalone, they took the abalone from the tank and harvested it in front of us. We w...anted red clams, the same. When the person next to us wanted sea eel, they also took it out of the aquarium and served it fresh. Everything was fresh as can be. While I prefer a Kansai taste over Tokyo - it was still a very good experience. They also have a sake tasting. This is also quite fun to try different types. Lots of free parking in the parking lot across the street.

“Great sushi in Ashiya”

4 of us went for lunch on New Years eve 2015. Great food. Some of the pieces of fish got the blowtorch treatment that really took the flavour from 100% traditional to something special. Service was top notch, they had at least 8 people working with only about 20 seats on the first floor. There is an...other room upstairs that I did not see. All in , drinks included, 25,000 yen. Well worth it. They have 4 parking spaces. They gave us a take out menu for delivery. We will try that next year.

“Good restaurant ”

The food is fresh and great. Sushi are very good. The only negative point is the hospitality it's seems they want for their business instead of the consumers.
