HANAICHI 871 Narita

We had a night in Narita before a morning flight. We’d arrived later than we’d expect so started wandering round looking for somewhere to eat. We found ourselves outside this restaurant and a quick look on trip advisor showed good reviews (all be they fairly old). We decided to take a chance. They... were very friendly. As others have said their English was limited but a bit of googling and we could communicate fairly well. The menu was scroll style and written in English. We sat at the bar and watched the chefs cook. They were very kind explaining the fish we were eating. We thought the food was very reasonably priced. Would thoroughly recommend going there to enjoy the food and watch their amazing craft.

As our flight was cancelled out of Kansai, due to the devastation from the typhoon , we were re scheduled to fly a day later out of Narita. As we wandered the few small streets near Narita station, we came across this restaurant. One of the staff saw us looking at the menu, and gave us a warm welc...oming smile as he came to the door so we decided to go in. So pleased we did. The food was deliciously fresh and simply but beautifully presented. The staff were just lovely. A wonderful way to finish our 2 weeks in Japan. Thank you to all at Hanaichi 871.

My husband and I have been flying through Narita for many years, and one reason we keep coming back is the amazing array of great restaurants in the township. Like most tourists we are probably guilty of gravitating towards places that have a traditional look, but Hanaichi 871 is a reminder that Ja...panese design and cuisine are not stuck in the 19th century. This sleek, modern restaurant had a five star feel, but it was still undeniably Japanese, and food was as good as anything we were served in Tokyo. The other noteworthy thing about this restaurant was the hospitality. When we returned for a second night we were greeted warmly — there was an English menu ready for us at our table — and when we left after a wonderful night we were waved goodbye. I fully recommend Hanaichi 871.

One of the best restaurant I have visited in Japan. You can see the chef meticulously cooking and doing his art. The food was delicious and definitely worth so I decided to write about. I discovered it by chance.

On a night by myself in Narita I dined at the inviting Hanaichi 871 and I'm glad I did! Sitting at the chef's bar, I was able to see the culinary experts at work. Each fresh dish is individually and masterfully prepared to order. I had the avocado & tuna salad and the seafood risotto. Both were ...delicious, and I was particularly impressed with the delicate freshness of the seafood. The care and pride of chef is evident at first bite. Go to Hanaichi 871 and you won't be disappointed!
