“Yummy hot soba noodles ”
Had really yummy hot soba noodles with tempura here. I went mid afternoon so it was quiet which was great! Quick and friendly service and a great view too!

“Soba ”
Following the reviews visited the restaurant on the other side of the river than the station. Enjoyable experience. Recommend getting the soba separate to the tempura prawns

“Good fun”
The food is fine, but probably only rates three stars. The charm of the place is the elderly ladies who staff it. Working hard and having fun seems to exemplify how the Japanese treat old age, and it makes this a good lunch venue.

“Nice place for soba ”
There are actually two locations. They are separated by the river (and are within about 5-10 minutes walk of each other) the one closer to the Main Street closed at 18h the day we were there (a Monday) while the one further away (across The river) closes at 19h. We tried the cold soba, and tempura... and hot soba. We enjoyed it! It was quiet the day we were at Hakone (rainy weekday) so we managed to get a seat with a river view.

“Delicious cold soba, full of flavour”
Busy, but worth the short wait for seats. Delicious cold soba full of flavour. Light and crispy tempura. Lovely efficient but friendly service, even an English menu
