“Horrible customer service and mid grade food”

I’ve dined at this location a few times and usually return for the great views of Shibuya Crossing, as the service can be hit or miss. Unfortunately, my most recent visit over Christmas was extremely disappointing. This was my family’s first time in Tokyo, and I made a reservation for 13 people thr...ough the restaurant’s website via Google Reservations. Upon arrival, we were seated at two tables in the back. When I politely asked if we could sit by the window (there were open tables), our server Yamamoto responded rudely, insisting that I should have requested it during booking—despite there being no option to do so. Even offering to split our group was met with a flat no. The QR-code ordering system caused multiple issues. Several meat and vegetable orders never arrived and had to be chased down. I also had to request water for our entire group, and was disturbed to see a staff member drop the water canister lid on the floor, put it back on, and continue serving water. The biggest issue came at checkout. One table of four was charged for 14 plates of a single meat item, which is impossible, they literally only ordered three plates between the 4 of them. When questioned, we were told orders were “merged” and distributed between tables, which makes no sense since each table had separate QR codes and separate bills. When we disputed the charge, Yamamoto stated, “We do not make mistakes. You made the mistake.” Things escalated further when my mother calmly questioned a returned item we were still charged for, and Yamamoto walked away saying, “Maybe you should just shut the f** up.”* This was heard by both tables. He later claimed he didn’t speak English well and said he was tired from missing his bus. Despite all of this, no resolution was offered and we were forced to pay for items we did not fully receive. Between the inaccurate billing, sanitation concerns, and outright disrespect, this experience was extremely unprofessional. I would strongly caution anyone dining here (especially with large groups). --- これまでに何度か利用しています。渋谷スクランブル交差点を眺めながら食事ができる点が魅力で、サービスについては正直当たり外れがある印象です。しかし、昨年のクリスマスに家族と訪れた際の対応は非常に残念でした。 今回は家族13名での初めての東京旅行で、公式サイトからGoogle予約を通じて事前に予約しました。来店時、奥の2テーブルに案内されました。空いている窓側席について丁寧に伺ったところ、スタッフの山本さんから「予約時にリクエストすべきだった」と強い口調で言われました。しかし、そのような選択肢は予約時に存在しませんでした。テーブルを分けても構わないと伝えても、即座に断られました。 QRコードでのモバイル注文にも問題があり、注文した肉や野菜が何度か届かず、こちらから伝えて初めて提供されました。また、13人分の水を依頼する必要があり、その際、水のポットの蓋を床に落とした後、そのまま使用して配膳する様子を見てしまい、非常に不快でした。 最も大きな問題は会計時です。4名のテーブルが、ある肉のメニューを14皿注文したと請求されましたが、実際には3皿しか注文していません。スタッフからは「注文をまとめて配膳した」と説明されましたが、各テーブルは別々のQRコード・別会計であり、説明が合いませんでした。指摘すると、山本さんから「私たちは間違えません。あなたたちが間違えた」と言われました。 さらに、母が返却した商品について質問した際、山本さんは立ち去りながら英語で「黙れ」といった趣旨の暴言を吐きました。2テーブルともに聞こえる状況でした。その後、英語が得意でないことや、疲れていてバスに乗り遅れたことを理由にされましたが、どんな理由があっても許される対応ではありません。 最終的に、納得のいく説明や対応はなく、受け取っていない分も含めて支払うことになりました。会計の不備、衛生面への不安、そして接客態度を考えると、非常にプロフェッショナルとは言えない体験でした。特に大人数での利用はおすすめできません。

“Best beef ever (ps don’t miss the dessert!)”

There are plenty of restaurants in Shibuya but not many have a great view of Scramble Crossing and serve beef this good. Ushi Hachi is a yakiniku restaurant - in other words you grill your own food at the table. It is famous for its wagyu beef and if you go, this is a must. We chose a selection of ...different cuts with vegetables and salad. The beef is thinly sliced and grills in no time. Best beef I’ve ever had ! So good, we went back again two days later for the exact same meal. Wine is reasonable and staff are pleasant (as everywhere in Japan) and the bill was more than reasonable (borderline cheap!) . If you go - do not (under any circumstances) miss out on dessert. The caramel custard is fabulous - a sort of creme caramel deconstructed. You get to the restaurant via a lift to the 4th floor just on the square. The entrance isn’t much but push through it - you won’t be disappointed.

“Good beef with a nice view of the Scramble”

Booked a lunch here for some Wagyu and a view of the Shibuya Scramble. We were the only people there at 11am when they opened. We got their top of the line course for 2. Unfortunately our server didn't really speak English so we weren't able to ask her questions. But she brought over the display... of different cuts of Wagyu and cooked the first piece of meat for us to show us how the process worked. The rest of the meat we cooked ourselves. Most of the meat selections were very good, with a high fat and flavor content, much more flavorful than beef in the U.S. The experience and price point was decent but had we been able to communicate better with our server it probably would have been better.

The best wagyu and view of the Shibuya Crossing. The servers were accommodating to my young children. I highly recommend eating here to get a great view of the crossing.

“Good Wagyu, Okay Restaurant”

My large group did a Tabelog reservation for many courses of Wagyu and unlimited drinks for 2 hours. The restaurant felt like a bit of a tourist trap but the best graded Wagyu was some of the best meat I have ever had. The place felt a bit dated and dirty but our group made the best of it and had a ...good time.
