“Best meal in Japan ever!”
Ate here 16/6/26. We had seen this restaurant recommended by other people and on a tourist blog. We were staying nearby so decided to check it out. They specialise in the local Kagoshima black pork which is a wild boar speciality. You have to choose the best on the menu which is the line cut I belie...ve as they can only make 10 meals from the animal with this speciality could. It is not massively expensive just under ¥3000 for the meal but oh my goodness, what a meal it is we enjoyed it so much. This is the best pork we have ever eaten. It is cooked TonKatsu style which means it is deep-fried in bread it crumbs and it is absolutely delicious and melts in your mouth. It comes with various dips gorgeous miso soup and wonderful shredded cabbage and you must put the onion condiment on the cabbage. It is fantastic. We could've eaten here every night! The staff are lovely and pricewise is very good value highly recommended.

“Great port cutlet!”
I had heard that Kagoshima was famous for this dish and we were taken to this place by our local friend. What a find! I would really recommend going here for a meal. We went at lunchtime and it was busy, but not crowded. Prices are reasonable and overall left a good impression.

“Yum yum Pig's Bum”
Great lunch. We had the specialty - beautifully crumbed pork. Worth the short wait. The set menu was excellent and the small beers cold and refreshing! Staff very friendly and accommodating to tourists.
