“Italian in Okinawa”
A quaint restaurant with silk screens framed to tell you that you are a Trattoria de Mare, otherwise you might not know you were in an Italian restaurant. The menu offered standard Italian fare (spaghetti, pizza, etc). We were in the mood for pizza, of which there were three topping choices on fo...caccia. We ordered the tomato sauce and garlic, and the Margherta (tomato sauce and cheese). When the pizzas came they were cut Sicilian style, not slices. On the some what soft crust, this made it necessary to eat the middle pieces with knife and fork, sine they could not be picked up by hand. The garlic pizza had very little garlic on it, and focaccia covered in tomato sauce is bland. The tomato and cheese pizza was a little better. The third topping choice was basil and oil.
“Excellent value”
Stopped for a late lunch and was impressed. Had basic pasta dishes with soup, salad, and bread. All were very good.
