“Really excellent pork!”
Stumbled across this place as close to the Shinksnsen station. Got the shabu pork set, and not only did the meat taste heavenly, all the side dishes were superb too! Service was excellent too

“Everything on point! Melt in your mouth kurobuta.”
Must order the tonkatsu, shabu shabu kurobuta and salt grilled kurobuta. All dishes were to die for as the meat is literally melt in your mouth feels. No dish were mediocre and we left there with a happy belly! Do try if you're visiting as the price is worth it.

“Kurobuta shabu shabu”
Sheared locally raised kurobuta with vegetables hotpot. The most expensive set comes with appetisers, kurobuta stew, kurobuta tonkatsu, noodles, seared Miyazaki beef & sashimi. Dipped the minced pork balls & pork in dashi scallions broth plus spicy yuzu paste. Pork rice consommé & creme brûlée wrap ...up the course. Interesting to see not much oil fats left in the hotpot after all the blanching. Recommended food to try in Kagoshima.

“Best meal we had on this trip....”
I recalled visiting this place when I was in Kagoshima about 3 years ago but it didn’t leave so much of an impression till we visited again recently. Either we were too hungry or that we chose this time the steamed version which is in my view much better than shabu shabu as you can taste the sweetn...ess of the pork. Very satisfying meal indeed !!

“Classy restaurant. Lunch menus are great and affordable.”
This is a very popular black pork franchise in Kagoshima. Though it looks expensive from the look, lunch menus are affordable. Local people also recommended. I feel like to visit again for the next trip. - Lunch menus are Shabu Shabu, Tonkatsu, etc. for 900~1500 yen. My recommendation is 黒豚の野菜蒸しセット(...Steamed black pork and vegetables) for 980 yen. - Tonkatsu was a bit like rare or medium rare. - Waited almost no time to enter. Employees were very kind, too.
