“We stumbled upon this watery”
We stumbled upon this watery by accident and it turns out to be the best meal we had in Naha. Food was unique and far exceeded our expectations. We ordered the uni spaghetti, butter grilled fish and raw oysters. Ended the meal with the toufu brûlée . What a great way to end our Okinawa trip!

“Decent food but slow service”
I found this restaurant on the top 10 list of seafood restaurants in Naha City, Okinawa, Japan (https://www.tripadvisor.com.sg/Restaurants-g298224-c33-Naha_Okinawa_Prefecture.html) and decided to give it a shot when my family and I went on a tour to Okinawa in February 2019. The four of us dined a...t this restaurant on 28 February 2019 for dinner. The restaurant did not have an English menu although there were pictures in it. Armed with an iPhone with Google Translate, we decided to give it a shot. The Food: We ordered a dish of fried shrimp, agadeshi tofu (fried tofu), asari (clam) soup to share. I had an oyster and spinach risotto and my other family members ordered a fluffy omelette with spam, grilled Okinawa fish fillets, and a grilled swordfish steak which was massive. The fried shrimp was a good starter and cost about 490 yen (SGD 6, USD 4.40). My oyster and spinach risotto wasn't very good and had the texture of watery porridge. To its credit, the 3 oysters it came with were plump and juicy and it cost 890 yen (SGD 11, USD 8). The highlight of the meal was definitely the grilled swordfish steak - 450g of it. It was a massive hunk of fish fillet and it came in a sizzling pan with melted butter, garlic and thyme. The skin of the fish was crisp and the flesh was tender and juicy. It cost about 1890 yen (SGD 23, USD 17) and I think my brother quite enjoyed it. The clam soup was decent enough. It came with 8 clams (I counted), copious amounts of tofu and some cherry tomatoes. It cost about 590 yen (SGD 7, USD 5) which was decent for its price. It would be a good idea to order one portion per person or split it among 2 persons. We split it amount 4 persons and I felt the portion was lacking. The Service: At the outset, I should point out that it is mandatory that each person order a drink and they do not serve water/tea. This was what I understood from the waitress as she tried to explain the restaurant policy in Japanese and none of us could understand Japanese so I might have misunderstood the policy. 3 of us ordered a glass of house red wine which cost 599 yen (SGD 7.25, USD 5.35) and my mum, who doesn't drink, ordered hot tea. Although to their credit, the house red was surprisingly good for a house wine. It was jammy and had soft tannins and I would have ordered it again. While the wait staff were all very polite and accommodating (credit goes to them for trying to overcome our language barrier and being very patient), some dishes took ages to be served. All of our dishes were served one-by-one. The fried shrimp were served promptly in less than 10 minutes but it was a good hour before my risotto finally was served even though the restaurant was not particularly crowded (about 30-40% occupied on a Thursday evening). The total bill came up to 9,670 yen for 4 persons, including tax. This is approximately SGD 117 and 86 USD. To sum up my experience at this restaurant in one word: decent. It isn't great but neither is it awful. From the previous reviews, it appears that there is quite a wide range of opinions. It goes without saying that this was my experience with my family on a Thursday evening in February 2019 and your experience may obviously differ. If you are only going to have one meal in Okinawa, you may want to look elsewhere.

“Great food, kind staff”
We ate here twice, while we visited Naha. Great food. The clams, the mussels, the fries, the spaghetti with tomato and green pepper. It was all really good and we enjoyed it very much. Staff is very helpfull and kind. The first night they welcomed us with a special dessert (which really said Welcome... to Okinawa!) and the second time they offered us a dessert that said thanks for coming again. Really thoughtful and kind. Something we didn't see much in Okinawa. So, when you visit Naha go eat here. Sit back, enjoy the wine and food and relax.
