Kawashima

This restaurant was the thing I loved best about Karatsu, which is pretty uninspiring per se. I booked in advance as advised but we were the only ones in the restaurant - but it's a very small place and I wonder if they need notice to prepare a meal however busy they may or may not be. Amazing tof...u, some of the best I've had in my life, and served in a few unusual combinations including a creme caramel type dessert. The fried tofu was spectacular. Beautiful room and pottery. At 2000 yen for the experience it really is a no brainer if you're in the area.
