Nakano

Everything from setting to service was targeted to be top-notch. We took the Genkai course with Chateaubriand and abalone. The food was good but not as gastronomic as the others had described. Food definitely looked better than it tasted. What a bummer! We were especially not impressed when the ch...ef tried to talk us into having white rice with mentaiko or curry instead of the teppanyaki garlic rice. Obviously, as we were the last customers and the chef wanted to save the hassle of preparing garlic rice for us. Ok we fell into the trap and could blame nobody since we had not insisted on choosing garlic rice. I had to admit that the anniversary celebration firework was a pleasant surprise. In short it's a great place for celebration but not for foodies. After this visit I understand why it couldn't keep its Michelin star. Everything happens for a reason.

We found this on google maps and managed to get a meal without a booking. Staff were super friendly and informative. The food was superb. We went for the most expensive set and were not disappointed. We expected to pay top ¥ for good food and I was happy to pay for the quality of the good we got. If... you are going to have tepanyaki you best go all in or don't bother. Very satisfying.

We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary at Teppanyaki Nakano and had an amazing and unforgettable evening. The Chef Mr. Bekki and team walked us through the menu in details and we decided to follow their advice which is BRAVO! Every single course is designed beautifully and tasty, especially t...he abalone paired with two different sauces, delicious!!! The garlic rice is the best ever we tried, pls don’t miss it. The lovely dessert just elegantly wrapped up the meal, and many thanks for the surprise arrangement! Very much appreciated! We will definitely be back. We just can’t wait to share the wonderful experience with you all! Pity that video can’t be uploaded.

Whilst this was slightly difficult to find, once there is was a great experience. The head chef is really entertaining. The food he prepared was outstanding and beautifully presented. It is slightly expensive but this is Japan and well worth it if this is to be your special dinner while in Fukuoka.

We just came back from family trip in Fukuoka. Dinner at this place was fantastic celebrating our 19th anniversary. Chef Ishibashi prepared amazing dinner course for us with professional, friendly and happy cooking. They also gave us special desserts and beautiful and surprising fireworks at the ...corridor. Really impressed and will definitely visit this restaurant again. Highly recommended!!!
