“Worst service you can imagine in fukuoka”
I always salute to Japanese for the friendliness and attentiveness of their service but I’m really surprised. The staff speak limited English and got our order wrong/ missed out. And when you try to en-suite they gave you this blank face with ‘i don’t speak English” and made no effort to help. We w...ere given 3 shellfish as part of the $329 per person cover charge and it stinks. Our fried rice costs $659 with plain rice and egg that looks so different from the photo. I think it’s a total ripe off and truly a disgrace to the legendary Japanese service culture.

“Fun Place With Good Seafood , Local Family Style”
This was a fun local fish restaurant in Kawabata Street, the covered shopping and restaurant street that runs parallel to the canal. It would not get into good food guides but it was a narrow place with crowded tables and good basic fresh seafood (of all types) at a reasonable price.I was told th...at a sea food merchant or supplier runs the place so the fish should have been good and it was. This was not the classiest places as demonstrated by red wine served in large beer mugs with ice.Worth a try and do not get put off by the tacky signage or appearance.Everything is in Japanese so get a local to point it out.

“Fresh seafood”
Very cramped restaurant so six of us had to squeeze on a table meant for four at most. A grill also took a significant portion of our table. Crab fried rice was average. Tofu with small shrimp and the scallops were good. Service was pedestrian. Fast but disinterested.
