B.B.13 BAR Sateimba

We passed the building and noticed from the street that it looked like a bar, so we went inside, because we wanted to try a few whiskies. The bar is a very classy bar with a western old style. There were only one japanese guest at the bar, the barkeeper and his helper. We managed to order a few whis...kies, got each a nice appetizer and were well served. The barkeeper speaks some English.

This is a serious bar, not a trendy hangout. The whiskey selection is impressive and extensive, the red wine excellent, although perhaps more limited in selection, and the staff absolutely first class. "Higher" end hotel establishments could learn a lot about attention to detail and customer serv...ice here. On top of that, the other guests made us welcome, despite obvious language difficulties. A special mention to the young man serving us this evening, who also had a very good knowledge of whiskey and was pleasant, polite and hospitable. Very enjoyable evening.
