“Great cozy pub”
We wrote to the pub and asked if he was showing a particular Premier League match. The owner replied they were. True enough, he kept the pub open even though we were the only ones and it was past closing time. Wonderful, cozy pub with very good sake too.

“Go on give it a go, you won’t regret it !”
It’s a really nice bar with a good selection of beer and spirits. The staff are really nice helpful and the food is surprisingly good ( sags beef ) It really isn’t the sort of place I would normally go when abroad but my son saw the Guinness sign and I am glad we went in.

“Great Guinness, lovely staff, nice tiny cosy place! ”
Popped in as you do if you love your Guinness and you gotta pop into an Irish bar wherever in the world you go just to check it out! Was a great little place, dude retired and set it up himself!

“This is NOT an Irish bar”
The quintessential mark of an Irish bar is its welcome. As an Irishman traveling abroad, I usually visit the “Irish” bars. This is, bar none, the worst I have visited. Besides the availability of Guinness, Kilkenny and some Irish whiskeys, this is only an Irish bar in name. There was none of the Iri...sh welcome from the staff. The Barman grudgingly let us sit on the lower seats (reserved for parties of 5 or more), even though 2 of the party were in our 60s. We had intended eating there and having a few drinks, but , as one of the party was a non-drinker, we were told that we were’nt entitled to the special offer on beer. The young Barman,citing the manager, was unhelpful. We left without eating or drinking. This is not the attitude that I expect of an Irish bar. The management need to go to Ireland to learn that the real value of the Irish pub is in the welcome that “Mein Host” extends to his or her guests. In this case,such a welcome was noticeably absent and so this establishment does not qualify as an Irish bar in any sense.

“Great British Style Pub.”
This is a really nice British style pub with a good selection of ales including Kilkenny. There is an English menu off of which we ordered fish and chips which were excellent. The fish was very fresh and the beer batter made to order. A special mention goes out to Josha the bar tender from the Nethe...rlands who is super freindly and a real assest to this pub - hope you haven't got married yet Josha and enjoy Christmas at home.
