“Basashi and a lot more”
I was here for horse meat, but my host wanted a broader range of items. The sashimi is fine, yes, and I have absolutley no time and appreciation for any type of fishy chawanmushi and onigiri soups. Those steps put me off a little, and also the fact that the raw horse was nearly frozen, still not exp...ressing the full flavours. Both the horse sashimi and the fried ones are good though. The fried horse tongue is particularly beautiful, and the braised beef tongue on gravy is a fantasy item. Absolutely gorgeous. I also enjoyed the fugu/pufferfish, deep fried style. They have a good range of sake and even a Kirin stout, good change from the regular mega lagers in these places.
