SHUAkasakamitsuke

This is a very nice coffee shop in Kyoto. It was close to our hotel and we went three times. Each time was a chance to try something new. The coffee was excellent and there was a couple of different types to choose from and the preparation method as well. I even tried the iced coffee which was excel...lent. It had a great flavor and was served with sugar, sweet gum syrup and cream so you could customize to your preference. The omelet with chicken and rice came topped with a great red sauce. I loved the preparation. The small sandwiches were great. The scones were 8 out of 10. I loved that the specialty coffee was served in bone China cups. It made it special for us.

lovely quaint Victorian style cafe that is hidden on a high floor. stumbled upon it when we saw a poster in the vicinity. there are 2 floors to the cafe, smoking and non-smoking, nicely designed to accommodate to different customer preference. The Apple pie is a must try, the dessert menu looks so ...good that you feel like ordering everything. a lovely place to indulge and relax with a good view of thre city. definitely recommended to try, will hope to come back again.

Came across this cafe when looking for a desert place. The food was not bad, but not that great, plus it is a bit pricey. For non-smokers, be mindful that they allow smoking inside the cafe. I chose a table right at the entrance, and was a good one.
