“Excellent dinner option and fantastic service”
Located on the 7th floor of Lumiene 1 above Shinjuku station, this was a lucky find. We needed space for 10 of us and we had no reservation. We got a private area with tatami style seating. Fantastic service. The food arrived promptly and it was a set menu. There were choices for the set and I had c...hosen the fish with the pork option and it was great. On the whole had a very memorable evening at Torafuku and can highly recommend it.

“Lovely Japanese food”
My friend bought us here as she recommended it. I wasn't disappointed. The food was delicious and staff attentive. I had the beef with rice. I had karage as a starter. My son had a curry and said it was the best he had so far on our visit. The rice was light and fluffy. Perfect! Not far from the gar...dens

“Busy but excellent food”
There was quite a long sitting queue (probably 6-7 people) ahead of us but the wait was not long - about 15 minutes. We seated at the side of the restaurant and not in the middle tables where it is harder to find space for your bags (though they provide a bag holder) on the floor. You can choose fr...om 3 side dishes which is refillable and these change every day (and during the day too!). We both ordered grilled fish sets (my set came with pork slices) and they were served quickly even though the restaurant was busy and full! One of the must try is the 3 types of rice that the restaurant prepare in giant rice pots in front of the open-air kitchen carefully watched by an attendant. You can ask for a different refill of rice each time to sample the different fragrances.

“Excellent Japanese food”
It was very busy the night we went and we had to queue for about 15 minutes. Everyone was in the same boat and the waiters had it all worked out to run smoothly and fairly. We were first given some little jars with various tidbits which were quite nice. Orders were taken and the language barrier was... easily breached. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Grilled fish was perfectly cooked and had a lovely flavour. Service was excellent and the staff really wanted to go the extra mile. We skipped dessert and instead headed off to the nearby Starbucks for a frappaccino. Don't tell anyone!
