“modern izakaya style”
A "modern izakaya style" restaurant (my personal definition) located at the 49th floor in the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building. I was alone in Tokyo for a business trip and I found this nice place exploring the city. Comfortable and nice private rooms to spend time with friends. Tasted Sashimi, Homemade ...Tofu and Koshihikari onigiri rice ball salmon: absolutely amazing experience. To repeat and ... good Sake! Friendly young staff helps you and suggest your best choice. English speaking. To repeat!!!

“Worth finding”
Stumbled on this restaurant while trying to find another in Shinjuku. Full of locals having a great night. The restaurant is divided into individual rooms of tatami or seated booths, both tastefully decorated in an earthy style. The waiter, who had little English, was very helpful and provided a men...u in English. Food was great and covered a wide range of options. All of the food came on very interesting ceramic vessels of various shapes and sizes. I was with teenage children and they tried the safer end of the menu with Yakisoba, deep fried chicken and pizza, all of which were great. My wife and I opted for the shabu shabu hotpot, which was excellent and bargain priced. Japanese deserts were also terrific and various other extras were included with the meal. The meal was paced well; not too fast and no long waits between courses. Prices were very reasonable and we paid about 150,000 yen for five. The restaurant is opposite the large main branch of Uni Qlo in a narrow block on the fifth floor. There are no signs in English and the restaurant entrance is a small alcove just outside the lift door. Well worth finding.
