“A fantastic introduction to authentic sushi”
A busy restaurant in the heart of the business district. Seems to be frequented by city professionals, locals in the know and kind souls on Trip Advisor... Was recommended this place by the previous reviewer who we sat next to (in a not so good restaurant). Had the 1300 jpy Sushi selection see the p...icture. A fantastically fresh selection of fish and shellfish sushi - beautifully crafted in front of us. Wasabi not for the feint hearted. It came with a palat cleansing miso and a green tea. A great food experience and reasonably priced too

After a long day I splitting Tokyo, we headed to Tsukiji Fish Market but we never found it or it was late already for that. We were hungry and set on having sushi and just found Kitaro next to us. We went in and although the place didn’t have other tourists, they brought us an English menu. We orde...red few platers and ordered some more later and the sushi was amazing. My wife is not as adventurous but she almost kept up with me except for the Ikura and the sea urchin. We have had sushi in very upmarket places like Umi and Nobu but this was the best sushi so far. The grilled Octopus wasn’t so good and that is why it is a 4 and not 5. Price for all this plus two draft Sapporo was under Yen 8000. Not bad for quality and quantity. Will go back on our last night in Tokyo.

We had a late lunch so we got a table right away. They have decent selection of sushi dishes around 1,000 yen and slightly above. Three of us ordered the same meal of “chirashi sushi” assorted sashimi over rice. This is my favourite dish and it came together with miso soup. Shopkeepers were att...entive but never rushed us to empty the table. This restaurant is a new discovery around the area and I definitely would come by again.
