Lovely decor, great location, friendly service and spectacular food; what more could you ask for? Not for those on a budget. The menus start at about $150 and go up. You can order a La carte if you wish as well. Fine wines, caviar and fois gras are all on the menu. This is not like what we’re used t...o in the US. This is a fine dinning establishment where they don’t over load your plate with rice and onions. Don’t expect knife juggling either!

My family had dinner here last night. At first I thought the portion sizes seemed small...... how ignorant I was! They cooked everything from garlic to shrimp, crab, veggies, bean sprouts, melt in your mouth steak and fried rice. Right in front of you! It was a special evening for us all. As always ...in this country, you’re taken care of so well and made feel very special. Please go and enjoy.

There are many steakhouses in Tokyo, but HAMA for me is one of the best. I go there once a year and have never been disappointed. The food is fantastic, and the service is always great. Vegetables, seafood and beef are always cooked to perfection with the chef doing all this in front of you. Expect ...to pay top dollars, however it's worth every penny. We had a glass of champagne, the steak course and a very reasonably priced bottle of French Bordeaux wine. Incidentally if you won the lottery or want to impress someone, their most expensive bottle of wine on the menu is Chateau Petrus @ USD 9,000 for one bottle. Not being at that level yet our total bill for two was USD 420.00 A 3-Star Michelin restaurant anywhere would cost you much more. I will definitely go back.

Yes, the food was very good BUT for $180++ a "meal" (per person) here is what you get: 180gm of real good steak, TWO vegetables (ONE mushroom that is ONE piece), a cup of rice, two spoons of dessert and a cup of coffee! This is not just EXPENSIVE, this is OUTRAGEOUS and down right ... To think that ...for $200 they could at least present you a dinner that is filling with rice and vegetables (if their glorified meat is so expensive)! This is a real tourist trap, ridiculously priced and ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY. For a party of 7, 4 ladies and 3 gentlemen we ended up paying $1575! What is a shame that all commenters and reviewers talk about "little expensive" and "be ready for the bill" and they make it sound like you will be paying $50 a dinner!!! Read the menu and check the prices before you get hyped in. Please avoid it so you do not spoil your Tokyo visit.

From the second you walk in you feel the quality and level of service your about to experience. Had the set lunch menu for ¥5500 . Salad leaves to start then scallops which were amazing. Then the steak with bean sprouts ,rice,pickled veg,miso soup . Then dessert and tea . Very nice at lunchtime
