“A delightful dining experience!”
A fine-dining surprise for me! While doing a walkabout in Tokyo, I saw this café and thought I would go inside and try it. I was delighted to find an exquisite menu that incorporated à la cart options with a variety of: Spanish,Japanese and French meal choices. This is a licensed establishment that ...is famous for its cooked domestic beef meals. There is a wide hors d’oeuvre and local vegetable selections, as well as: fish, risotto, breads, and cheese platters. Staff comment that: “Our chef who loves fine wine has created the special meal dishes with that in mind. We are very particular about the ingredients that we use and take great care in preparing dishes.” Wagyu beef and a variety of fish dishes were also available. Surprisingly, in my three weeks here, this is the first restaurant where chopsticks were not offered as a dining utensil. I am not sure if that’s because I am Caucasian, or if it is simply the policy of the restaurant. With seating for about 20 diners, I understand that this popular business can be full at times. Compared to other local dining establishments, this venue offers very comfortable and spacious table seating, a lovely atmosphere and appropriately piped in music further the dining experience. This evening I dined on one of EKA’s signature pastas. My meal contained a lightly-creamed noodle with salmon, mushroom, and spinach. The flavor was exquisite and light! The garlic bread was uniquely soaked in garlic oil and then crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. The green salad that I enjoyed was made with locally sourced vegetables and grilled bacon slabs that had homemade croutons and a light, seasoned, cream sauce. I must say that this was a large meal, but delicious! Highly recommended!

“Delicious food at reasonable prices.”
Great food at very reasonable prices. We were staying at a hotel nearby and because of the cold weather we went to Eka five nights in a row, it was so good and too cold to find anywhere else to eat. Very friendly staff, delicious food, what more could you require?

“Good Italian/French cuisine”
The name has changed and it's called Eka now. Their menu for lunch time is a little limited but tasty and reasonably-priced. Selection is larger for dinner time. They also have a bar with a large array of alcohols, both Japanese and from overseas. If you visit during a major sports event (esp. foot...ball), the games are shown on two large-screen televisions. The rest of the time they show movies.

“Excellent restorant”
Very tasty Italian food. Pasta is the best I’ve tried in Tokyo. If you’re tired of Japanese food, it’s a good place to visit.
