Kikukawa Kandaten

Very tasty char-grilled eel indeed, succulent inside and seasoned so well with the sweetened soy sauce made specially. Eel dish like this is not cheap if you are on a tight budget but certainly one of the Japan's proud gastronomic delights and you will get what you paid for.

One of the best unagi restaurants in Tokyo. Used to have eels folded at the tail since it wouldn't fit into the lacquered serving box, but the size of the eels get smaller and smaller and prices get higher and higher by the year. Fortunately, the taste of this delicacy has not changed and is worth t...he price. I'd also recommend ordering "Cabbegin", pickled cabbage, an item frequently ordered by the regulars. Eels are cooked per order, so be prepared to wait while enjoying hot sake and Cabbegin. It has two other stores located around Tokyo and one near Mt. Fuji. These stores also serve various Japanese dishes along with unagi.

One more year in Tokyo-Kanda and one more year in Kikukawa, specialised in eel-unagi. Nothing more to say that they make unagi in a perfect way, service is excellent. I like this kind of business model: i do only one thing but in a perfect way. You go there, you know the menu: only unagi!! You h...ave it (even no dessert or anything else) and start to count down the days until the next year you’ll return to Tokyo-kanda to have again this perfect dish. Simple but perfect.

40年以上通っています。一見さんの外国人観光客にに教えたくないおいしいうなぎ料理屋。 東京オリンピックで観光客がこれ以上増えると待ち時間がもっと長くなるのが心配です。 とにかくおいしいです。 I prefer to put review in Japanese for this restaurant. Hope you understand!
