As a German I have to say that I was impressed about the German vibes here - did not expect German music in a beer hall in Japan - but it was Japanese German authentic I would say. Only down side is that is was rather expensive if I compare to the other restaurants I was - that does include food a...nd beer. Service was top tier friendly as usual!

Very touristy, cold, sterile, “do this, don’t do that, pay this”. We didn’t realise this until we were directed to the third floor but soon realised it wasn’t for us. Ridiculously expensive- two beers cost over 3,000 yen as they also had a 500 yen cover per person. Had our beers, looked at the iPad ...food choices and left. Don’t bother.

Founded in 1934, it is the oldest beer hall in Japan in existence. The restaurant is very popular for its retro atmosphere, including Japan's first 250-color glass mosaic mural and pillars with a motif of ears of wheat. Sapporo draft beer poured by beer masters can be enjoyed with a variety of snack...s, making it popular among tourists from overseas. The “Ginza Roast Beef,” available in limited quantities, is a specialty.

We visited twice during our vacation in Tokyo. It was very busy on both occasions and has a great atmosphere. The service is prompt and courteous and the food and Sapporo beer is very good.

The name of the restaurant, which includes the image of a lion, is inconsistent with the experience provided. Despite its strategic location in an area with a large potential for visitors, the establishment has significant flaws in its service, which is at odds with traditional Japanese hospitality ...and courtesy. The experience was marked by inadequate service, culminating in the inability to place an order due to time restrictions, even though there were 30 minutes left before closing time. I do not recommend this establishment.
