“Delicious Meal; Attentive Service”
We enjoyed our meal at Ganko. It was elegant and the meal was beautifully presented. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we were warmly welcomed. It was a very peaceful dining environment and the service was attentive and the prices were very fair for the quality. The waitress graciously sp...oke to us in English, which was kind of her and helpful. We enjoyed walking through the beautiful garden after our meal, as it offered tranquility in a busy urban environment.

“Delicious, authentic Japanese izakaya restaurant with good vegetarian options”
A lovely authentic mid-range Japanese restaurant with a beautiful Japanese garden in the front. Simple but elegant and peaceful dining environment. Delicious sushi and tempura. Good options for vegetarians. Not easy to find, but glad we came here.

“Affordable traditional Japanese restaurant for foreigners”
We visited there with 9 people with reservation and enjoyed meal while doing business meeting at the second floor room. The room is large enough to accommodate perhaps with 16 people. We ordered different dishes like Nigiri Sushi, Fugu Tecchiri (BlowFish Pot). Ladies wear Kimono and one person se...rving for one room. They are diligent workers but not with a real traditional elegant Japanese serving style. Price is reasonable in this level of casual restaurant and is good for first time visitor or perhaps foreigners. If you want to try real traditional Japanese, find the other one.

“Lovely experience, delicious food, and affordable”
A very Japanese restaurant, very formal as you would expect - but somehow casual at the same time. The restaurant is located about 100 meter walk from a main street which adds to its charm, and as the picture indicates, it's located inside a traditional house rather than a chock-a-block building li...ke you usually find in Shinjuku. Make reservations! We did not have a private room because we were told (although I'm sure if it's really true) that you need to order a set menu in advance. So, we ate in the open area which wasn't crowded at all, nor cramped. The food was "ganko" which seems to be a little bit of all things Japanese. Frankly, i had chicken, roast beef and a salad- Japanese style. My colleagues went more traditional with Sushi, teppan-yaki, yakitori, etc. All quite tasty and fairly affordable by Tokyo standards. And, the saki selection was quite interesting, too. This restaurant really exceeded expectations because it was so traditional but without all the hassels that sometimes come with such an experience. there are a few foreigners in there, but primarily local. And there's a garden in front which adds to the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, particularly for a relaxed business dinner.

“Very nice and cozy Japanese restaurant ”
It is like a traditional "Ryokan" or Japanese old house with great atmosphere and good service. Foods are typical "Kaiseki" or small dishes beautifully arranged. I'm sure everyone can enjoy and get relaxed.
