“Best Tempura in Tokyo Train Station”
We found this restaurant by accident as were walking in Tokyo Station. I wanted Tempura so we decided to try this restaurant. It is tucked away and there were no lines. Many locals and businessmen were eating there. I later found out this is one of the top Tempura restaurants in Tokyo. Try the ...set menu, because it is less expensive and you get more food. The Tempura was fried perfectly -both fish and veggies. The miso soup was delicious and the beer really cold. I also loved the Soba noodles because the sauce was so tasty. Price was moderate, and the staff was efficient. Only downside is I felt we were being rushed to eat quickly. I guess this is not a surprise since all the restaurants were busy.

“There was no queue ..”
The reason we tried this restaurant was that there was no queue outside. I guess that should have been a sign. There is an English menu that gives you an idea of what's available. I thought it average food and overpriced. I had some tempura vegetables, five slices for 1650Y. The set menu might be be...tter value but it wasn't what I wanted. Join a queue elsewhere in the station.

“Make your first foray into tendon with Tenkiyo”
First experience with tendon was in June 2016 when we stumbled upon Tenkiyo while looking for a place for dinner at Tokyo Station. The presentation of the tendon though over the top, it's just too attractive not to try it. It comes with all sorts of tempura and the batter is light and done just rig...ht. Visited again this June and the quality, needless to say, is as good as the first experience. If you are looking to try tendon, make Tenkiyo your choice. It's conveniently located within Tokyo station and look out for the Granroof signage and follow it. Itadakimasu!

“Very good Tempura”
Located at B1 outside of Daimaru, Tokyo Station in the Granroof area. English menu is available. For value go for the set but I noticed they offer Omakase on the Japanese menu. Would have liked to try it siting at the counter where the chef were actually doing the frying.
